Speaker Detail

Dr. Dhaval K. Shah is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the State University of New York at Buffalo (SUNY Buffalo). Before becoming a professor at SUNY Buffalo he was a Principle Scientist at Pfizer Inc. His research focuses on understanding the determinants for the ADME of protein therapeutics. His lab uses the principles of PK/PD Modeling & Simulation to support discovery and clinical translation of novel protein therapeutics like bi-specific molecules, antibody-drug conjugates and immuno-oncology agents. He has pioneered the development of a translational systems pharmacokinetic model for protein therapeutics disposition in whole body and brain. He has also recently developed microdialysis system for understanding protein therapeutics disposition in rat brain to support this endeavor.
