Boston QSP Granted 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Status
Boston – Boston QSP is proud to announce it is now officially a public charity with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code. Contributions donated to Boston QSP are fully tax-deductible. Boston QSP is also now eligible to apply for government and foundation grants, which will further broaden its access to resources and strengthen its ability to serve the quantitative and systems pharmacology (QSP) community.
“Boston QSP started as a Meetup event of small group of like minded people meeting at some local bars has now taken an organizational form and expanded its efforts to build this community and promote the field of QSP,” Founder and Co-Organizer Rajiv Shrestha said. “501(c)3 status provides an additional level of assurance to our donors that their contributions will be used for charitable purpose and make us eligible to apply for government and foundation grants.”
Supporting its overall mission of building an active and interdisciplinary community to advance the field of QSP, Boston QSP is focused on continuing to hold bimonthly events. Boston QSP Members shall enjoy the benefit of interacting with peers of diverse intellectual backgrounds in real time.
