July Boston QSP: The Blog
Summer is indeed a great time. We had a full house attendance for our July event. Venture café was packed and buzzing with interactions of the attendees during the reception over some drinks and food. They had just attended lively presentations and Q and A sessions in Havana conference room. The distinguished speakers were Dr. Andreas Raue from Merrimack Pharmaceuticals and Dr. Pinky Dua from Pfizer.
Our first speaker Dr. Raue talked about integrating QSP models with machine learning to increase predictive capability. His presentation was based on results from the hybrid modeling approach that significantly improved prediction of responder cell lines to receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) targeted antibodies. Second speaker Dr. Dua highlighted the use of QSP in target selection, validation, and authorization. The presentation was based on her group’s work in development of pain treatment drug by modulating nerve growth factor (NGF) pathway. For details, please see the slides here.
